Quote: "The resumption of attacks on rail infrastructure after a relative lull has, unfortunately, not been long in coming.

This morning, thanks to the precision work of Ukrainian Railways' air threat monitoring centre and locomotive crews, a commuter train in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast was stopped in advance and passengers were evacuated."

Details: Ukrainian Railways said its monitoring centre had detected the air threat in time and promptly relayed the information to the locomotive crews of a commuter train and a freight train that were in the potential danger zone.

The commuter train was stopped at the nearest station and around 500 passengers were evacuated. The freight train's locomotive crew also got out of their cab in time, before the Russians struck near the freight train locomotive.

Thanks to the coordinated actions, no passengers or railway workers were injured.

Once the air threat was no longer being detected, the passengers got back on the train and it continued on its route.
