Russia attacks Ukraine with nearly 300 drones
Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 287 UAVs on the night of 16-17 May. Ukrainian air defence forces have shot down or jammed 279 of the drones.

Details: Eight attack UAVs hit seven locations, and debris from downed drones fell at seven other locations.
As of the morning, new groups of Russian UAVs remain in Ukrainian airspace.
Background: Drones attacked Moscow and Moscow Oblast on the night of 16-17 May. Local residents reported a large number of explosions.
