Pool Paws Dog Swim in Kirkwood
KIRKWOOD, Mo. - As summer winds down, the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation (MAAL) invites St. Louis-area dog lovers to end the season with a splash—literally! Their beloved annual event, Pool Paws for Humane Laws, is back and promises tail-wagging fun for both pets and their people.
Pool Paws is a special dog swim held at local public pools after they close for the summer. Before the pools are drained, MAAL transforms them into a puppy paradise—letting dogs jump, swim, splash, and play to their hearts’ content, all while raising funds for animal welfare legislation in Missouri.
This event is more than just a dog day afternoon—it’s a unique, fun-filled way to support a serious cause. Proceeds go directly to MAAL’s efforts to protect animals through advocacy, policy change, and public awareness.
Three Pool Paws events are scheduled for this Saturday across the area
Alligators Creek Aquatic Center, O’Fallon; 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Aquaport, Maryland Heights; 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Arnold Recreation Center, Arnold; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (dogs under 35 pounds) and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (dogs over 35 pounds)
