Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle on I-70 in north St. Louis
ST. LOUIS - A woman was killed overnight Thursday after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 70 in north St. Louis
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on westbound I-70 near Adelaide.
A preliminary investigation reveals that the woman was struck by multiple vehicles, according to a SLMPD spokesperson. The vehicles involved in the crash left the scene after the incident.
All lanes on westbound I-70 were shut down for an extended period of time as crews investigated the crash and worked to clear the scene. Traffic has since reopened.
