Pedestrian critically injured after being hit by a van in Logan Heights
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Friday night after being struck by a van in the Logan Heights neighborhood, authorities said.

The collision happened just after 7:20 p.m. in the 2100 block of Ocean View Boulevard, according to the San Diego Police Department.
A 37-year-old man was driving a 1993 Chevy Astro Van westbound on Ocean View Boulevard when a male pedestrian — who has not yet been positively identified — attempted to cross the street outside of a crosswalk. The pedestrian walked into the path of the van and was struck, officials said.
The victim suffered a skull fracture and brain bleed and was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
