Overnight fire damages several vehicles at car rental center San Diego Int'l Airport
(FOX 5/KUSI) — Several vehicles were damaged in a fire overnight at a rental car facility near San Diego International Airport late Monday.
According to Harbor Police, the call came in at 11:57 p.m., reporting a fire at the old Hertz car center lot near Harbor Drive and Harbor Island Drive.
Officials who arrived found several vehicles on fire near charging stations.
Five vehicles that were charging sustained damage, with two of them fully engulfed, Harbor Police told FOX 5/KUSI.
Hazmat crews responded to the site, and no people were injured, Harbor Police said.
