Over 160 Russian drones flew over Ukrainian nuclear power plants in two days, IAEA says
More than 160 UAVs were recorded flying over the South Ukraine, Rivne and Chornobyl nuclear power plants (NPPs) during Russian attacks on 13 and 14 May.

Details: IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi also expressed deep concern and stressed the need for full compliance with the fundamental principles of nuclear safety and security during armed conflict.
Background:
- On 4 May, a UAV struck an external radiation monitoring laboratory at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant outside the plant's perimeter.
- On 1 May, the IAEA sent another mission to Ukraine to assess the condition of electrical substations supporting the stable operation of nuclear power plants.
- On 14 April, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant lost external power supply for the thirteenth time since the start of the full-scale war.
