Over 100 Russians have infiltrated Kostiantynivka, military warns of threats

At least a hundred Russian troops have infiltrated Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, with Ukraine's defence forces recording the Russians in the centre of the city.

Details: Journalists report that Kostiantynivka is repeating the Pokrovsk scenario: the Russians are infiltrating the city and attempting to divide it into separate sectors and make organised defence impossible, leaving Ukrainian infantry at risk of encirclement.

Three commanders at company and battalion levels reported that over a hundred Russian troops have infiltrated Kostiantynivka. One of the officers believes the real figure may be closer to 250, as it is difficult to count the exact number of personnel in these groups precisely.

"The enemy has wedged itself into the city centre. This is no longer infiltration – this is enemy resistance," one of the publication's sources said.

They added that Ukraine's defence forces are currently wiping out fewer Russian troops than are entering the city.

"Given how actively the situation is developing there, problems will only grow over time. Losing Kostiantynivka by the end of summer is entirely realistic. The enemy is pressing very hard," another commander stated.
