One last hot day before some heat relief and rain arrive
ST. LOUIS - One last 90+F day to go. We’ll start Thursday with sun, then see some clouds building from the west later in the day ahead of a slow-moving weather system.
By mid-afternoon Thursday, some showers and storms will try to pop for our western communities. As the front arrives early Friday morning, we’ll see some scattered showers during the pre-dawn and morning commute.
A spot shower may redevelop Friday afternoon and evening. It will be cooler Friday, with highs in the mid-80s.
Saturday continues to look dry and warm, but not as hot. Highs in the mid- to upper 80s. We’re watching for waves of unsettled weather Sunday through Tuesday that will bring additional welcome rain. We are watching late Sunday into Monday especially.
With the clouds and rain, temperatures should cool a bit more early next week.
