Oceanside 2024 murder suspect still at large, $1K reward offered
OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Oceanside Police and San Diego County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in locating a man accused of killing another man in Oceanside nearly one year ago.
Police first issued photos of the suspect to the public in October 2024 after Brent Bielby was killed in the 1300 block of South Meyers Street in the City of Oceanside. No other details on the homicide were released by authorities.
The suspect is described by police as a Black man, 30 to 40-years-old, 5’7’’ to 6’ tall, and 175 lbs.,
with long braided black hair, brown eyes and missing an upper tooth. He was last seen wearing a light gray hoodie, gray trucker hat with a white mermaid logo, dark cargo pants and dark shoes.
The suspect was last seen boarding a northbound Amtrak train at the Oceanside Transit Center, then spotted on surveillance footage getting off the train in the City of Irvine, according to Oceanside Police.
Police say the suspect is considered dangerous and the public is advised not to approach him.
