New app gives digital access to vaccination records in Missouri

MISSOURI -- Vaccination records just became much more accessible for Missouri residents after the state launched a new app.

The new app, Docket, allows Missouri residents with a ShowMeVax record to access their vaccination files digitally. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services launched the new app for residents to access personal and family immunization records.

To access the records, residents must create an account on Docket using their email address, Apple ID, or Gmail account.

After creating an account, to search for vaccination records, residents must provide a valid phone number or email address, legal name, date of birth, and gender to match the ShowMeVax record exactly.

According to the state, millions of immunization records are stored in ShowMeVax, the web-based electronic database that Docket has access to.

Missouri joins eight other states, including the District of Columbia, to provide resources through the Docket app.
