Music at the Intersection celebrates St. Louis' legacy in music and culture
ST. LOUIS - The Music at the Intersection Festival is back for its fifth year, transforming the Grand Center Arts District into a celebration of sound, art, and community.
With four stages, 19 venues, and more than 100 performances, the festival is bigger than ever. Washington Avenue has become a block party, while buskers, food trucks, and vendors spill into public spaces.
“We’re here in the heart of the Grand Center Arts District, and we’re celebrating St. Louis, its imprint on the American Songbook, our great cultural, musical and artistic legacy,” said Chris Hansen, executive director of the Kranzberg Arts Foundation.
This year’s lineup includes legends like Patti LaBelle and Branford Marsalis, as well as rising artists such as Leon Thomas. Organizers say the mix of jazz, R&B, and international sounds reflects the melting pot of St. Louis.
“We focus on the music and the art that we’re known for in the world,” Hansen said. “People are just really proud to be Saint Louisans when they come here. It brings people together that don’t always get to come together and celebrate each other.”
Music at the Intersection runs through Sunday, stitching together the rhythm and pride of the city.
