Motorcyclist killed after colliding with runner in Tower Grove East
ST. LOUIS - One man was killed and another person injured after a crash Monday night in south St. Louis.
According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, the crash happened around 9:50 p.m. on Gravois and South Compton avenues in the city's Tower Grove East neighborhood.
Investigators learned a 19-year-old man was running southbound across Gravois at S. Compton and a Yamaha motorcycle was traveling westbound on Gravois with a green light.
The runner and the motorcycle collided, causing the motorcycle to veer into the eastbound lanes of Gravois, where it struck a Dodge Dakota in the left turn lane.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. They have not been identified.
The runner was hospitalized and listed in stable condition.
