Police say the man was riding a KTM motorcycle southbound in the right lane just before the collision. The motorcyclist sustained a serious knee injury that may require surgery and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The vehicle fled the scene without stopping, police said. Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect vehicle and are asking any witnesses to come forward.
