Details: The boys, aged five and three, were taken to the Okhmatdyt National Specialised Children's Hospital. After an examination, relatives took the younger brother home, while the elder boy remains in intensive care in a serious condition.
Later, Kyiv nursery No. 82 reported that the injured children attended the nursery. Both boys need treatment, and fundraising details were posted in the nursery's group.
Police said three people were killed in the large-scale attack in the Shevchenkivskyi district, where the family lived. The bodies of two women, aged 77 and 49, were found near one of the entrances to an apartment block, while the body of a 49-year-old man was found near a car park.
Reports circulated on social media suggesting the women killed were mother and daughter, but police later denied this. Police said the older woman was not the grandmother of Jasim and Jacob.
