Details: Starting at 03:02 (Kyiv time), Sobyanin posted a series of updates claiming that drones had been intercepted. He said within an hour that 27 drones had been downed.

Meanwhile, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) announced the temporary suspension of operations at Moscow's Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports. Restrictions had been introduced at Sheremetyevo Airport shortly after 02:30.

Sobyanin later said a further 32 drones had targeted the city.

Videos circulating on social media and Telegram channels showed drones flying overhead and the sound of explosions.

As always, Sobyanin did not report any damage but wrote in each update: "Emergency services are working at the sites where debris has fallen."
