MoDOT announces two major ramp closures for pavement repairs
ST. LOUIS - Two major ramp closures in the St. Louis area are set to impact thousands of drivers starting Monday.
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT) has announced that the exit ramp from eastbound Missouri Route 370 to southbound I-270 will be closed from 9 a.m. Monday through Friday, Oct. 10, to allow for pavement repairs.
MODOT advises drivers to use the Missouri Bottom Road exit ramp from Route 370 east as a detour. From there, drivers can turn around and head southbound on I-270.
The ramp from 370 east to 270 south is heavily used, including by drivers coming in from St. Charles County. Commuters should plan to use the alternate route until the closure ends on Friday.
In addition to this closure, MODOT plans to close the two-lane ramp from eastbound I-44 onto northbound I-55 starting at 7 p.m. Monday night. This closure is also for pavement repairs and is expected to last only one night, with the ramp reopening Tuesday morning at 5 a.m.
During the I-44 to I-55 closure, drivers will be detoured to southbound I-55 to Arsenal, where they can return to I-55 northbound.
Drivers in the St. Louis area should prepare for these closures and plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.
