Missouri residents hit jackpots more frequently than most other states, study shows
(KODE & KSN) — If you live in Missouri, you have a higher chance of winning big, according to a recent study.
A recently compiled list of states with the most Powerball lottery winners revealed Missouri to be the state with the second-highest amount of Powerball Jackpot wins of all time, accounting for nearly 8% of all Powerball jackpots in the country, according to data.
Kansas ranks as the state with the 12th highest amount of Powerball Jackpot wins, with a total of 12 jackpots, while Oklahoma and Arkansas appear toward the bottom of the list with only 4 and 1 Jackpot wins, respectively.

The most recent Powerball jackpot in Missouri had a $1.79 billion annuity value with a cash value of $820 million. It was sold at a QuikTrip location in St. Louis.
