Missouri man trafficked CSAM for 2 years, now sentenced
ST. LOUIS - A 40-year-old St. Louis County man was sentenced in court Wednesday for possessing child pornography.
According to court records, James Storian had over 6,110 images and 728 videos of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
An undercover officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) investigating the case contacted Storian through a peer-to-peer network. Prosecutors say Storian ended up sharing the disturbing videos and photos containing CSAM with the officer.
Astorian pleaded guilty in March to one count of possession of child pornography, and according to a government sentencing memorandum, the 40-year-old admitted to trafficking CSAM for over two years.
The memorandum also stated that some of the CSAM was "notably violent."
Astorian will spend the next eight years in prison and the judge ordered him to pay $10,000 to the victims who were identified in the videos/photos.
