Military plant in Russia's Michurinsk ablaze after drone attack – videos
The Progress plant in the town of Michurinsk in Russia's Tambov Oblast has come under attack and caught fire. The facility manufactures equipment for aircraft and missile control systems. The authorities in Moscow and Leningrad Oblast have also reported drone attacks.

Details: Astra reported that it had geolocated videos of the fire recorded by eyewitnesses on the night of 2-3 June. According to Astra's open-source intelligence analysis, the Progress plant in Michurinsk had been hit and is burning.
Meanwhile, Moscow authorities claimed that over 20 Ukrainian drones had targeted the Russian capital since the evening of 2 June.
Drozdenko also reported that 30 drones had been downed over Leningrad Oblast.
According to Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), airports in Moscow and Leningrad Oblast temporarily suspended operations.
Update: Pervyshov confirmed an attack by what he described as "Ukrainian Armed Forces drones". He also stated that outbuildings at an industrial facility had been damaged, without specifying its name.
For reference: Michurinsk Progress Plant JSC is a major industrial company specialising in high-tech mechanical engineering.
Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported that Progress produces navigation, meteorological and geodetic instruments as well as instrumentation equipment and components for the aviation and missile industries.
As part of cooperation in the production of Kh-101 missiles, it supplies MP-95 sensors to SmAZ JSC, which may be used for testing and monitoring key missile systems (inertial, hydromechanical and electronic).
The company also supplies GMS-01D gyro motors to APZ JSC, used in the manufacture of DUSVCH2-30AI angular velocity sensors, as part of a collaboration on the production of Kh-59M2/Kh-59M2A air-to-surface missiles.
Background: The Progress plant had previously come under attack in February 2026, June 2025 and December 2024.
