Man shot, killed in overnight officer-involved shooting in Bel-Ridge
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - Police are investigating overnight Wednesday after a person was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Bel-Ridge.
According to the North County Police Cooperative (NCPC), the shooting occurred around 12:50 a.m. on the 3300 block of Welsberg Drive, near Maybelle Drive.
The entire incident began around 12:15 a.m. after reports of a police pursuit involving St. Ann Police, NCPC said. By 12:50 a.m., St. Ann Police requested that the NCPC come to the scene and investigate after an officer shot and killed a suspect.
An investigation is ongoing into what led up to the shooting and where the police pursuit began. No officers were injured during the shooting, NCPC said.
Police have not released any information on the suspects or the officers involved in the shooting.
