Quote: "This morning, a 66-year-old man stepped on an enemy mine in the Khotin hromada.
Sadly, he died. My sincere condolences to his relatives and loved ones."
Details: Hryhorov said that the wife of the deceased man was evacuated from the settlement after the tragedy.
He stressed that it is dangerous to remain in border villages, as Russian forces constantly attack these territories, mine the area and complicate the evacuation of people.
Background: On 11 March, Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for Ukraine's Joint Forces grouping, said that Russian troops are unsuccessfully trying to break through in the village of Popivka in Sumy Oblast but have not succeeded and cannot establish a foothold there.
