Man arrested after assaulting Metro security officer: Records
ST. LOUIS - A Florissant man was arrested and charged after allegedly assaulting a Metro Transit security officer, according to officials.
40-year-old Anthony Darrell Williams was asked to leave by a security officer at the Metro Transit Center located at 9000 Riverview Dr. in north St. Louis Friday for "causing a disturbance," records say.
Williams proceeded to allegedly assault the officer after being asked several times to exit the premise. Records accuse Williams of scratching the officer in the face and punching him several times.
Williams is charged with third-degree assault. He is being held without bond.
An initial appearance is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
