"La Cage aux Folles" returns to the Muny after 40 years

The beloved musical comedy, presented by the Staenberg Family Foundation, was last seen on The Muny stage in 1986. This production marks a historic moment as it features Black actors in six principal roles, a first for a U.S. production of "La Cage aux Folles."
"La Cage aux Folles" is a musical about complicated family dynamics that inspired the 1996 film "The Birdcage." The story revolves around Georges and Albin, whose son becomes engaged to the daughter of a politician, creating tension due to their drag nightclub in Saint-Tropez.
