"I was right to buy him new slippers!" Ukrainian poet says as her husband comes home from captivity

Dmytro Paskalov, the husband of Mariupol poet, writer and social activist Oksana Stomina, has been brought back from Russian captivity.

Details: Paskalov, a captain in the 109th Donetsk Separate Territorial Defence Brigade, was exchanged on 15 May.

Quote: "Yes! I was right to buy my husband slippers a couple of days ago! Hurray! He just called! Thank you all for standing with me and supporting me all this time!"

More details: Paskalov had been in captivity since May 2022, when he left the Azovstal steelworks.

Background: Artem Vyshniak, a fighter from the Azov Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, was also brought back home in the 15 May prisoner swap. His mother, Mama Tania, is well known for her active participation in protests in support of captured defenders.
