Humid with scattered showers Thursday and then drier for the weekend
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- We got beneficial rainfall overnight but the rain isn't quite done yet!
Moisture from Tropical Storm Mario leftovers is still surging on Thursday, leading to warm and muggy weather. Scattered showers and pop-up thunderstorms are possible for all areas, but favored for the mountains and deserts which we are already seeing on satellite radar as of midday.

The rain activity continues to move northward across the region on Thursday and more intense thunderstorms could produce brief heavy downpours at times until the evening hours. A Flood Watch is still in effect for the mountains and deserts until 2 a.m. on Friday.
Since the majority of the cloud cover as cleared out, regional rain chances are looking more minimal for Thursday, but we still could get some heavier shower activity for the mountains with enough daytime heating, instability and lift.
For the weekend, we are drying out and warming up as the moisture plume exits the region. Temperatures for Friday and Saturday at the coast will top out in the upper 70s, upper 80s for the valleys, mid-70s for the mountains and mid-90s for the deserts.
