'Hero Quest' exhibit opens at Magic House
KIRKWOOD, Mo. - A big display called "Hero Quest" opened up Saturday at the Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum.
Hero Quest is inspired by the book series "Ordinary People Change The World."
The experience gives kids a chance to go on a scavenger hunt while discovering life-sized storybooks telling them about heroes like Abraham Lincoln, Harriet Tubman and Albert Einstein.
Chris Eliopoulos, the illustrator behind the life-sized books, paid a visit to the Magic House on Saturday for a ribbon-cutting ceremony in celebration.
"To see my illustrations come to life is absolutely amazing. Seeing it be put up 10 times the size is absolutely surreal," said Eliopoulos
Scott Barthelmass, Chief of the Eureka Fire Protection District, said the exhibit is designed to inspire.
"This exhibit is all about creating kids that are capable and willing to do great things. As you go through the exhibit, you'll see tons of examples of throughout the history of our country of young kids who grew up and changed the world," said Barthelmass.
The Magic House plans to keep the Hero Quest exhibit up for years to come.
