Heat relief Wednesday, forecast goes dry
ST. LOUIS - Heavy rain and storms hit areas south of metro St. Louis Tuesday as a cold front moved through the area. Now, the cooler air is settling in.
Temperatures will not be as hot on Wednesday but still muggy, with highs in the upper 80s. The weather on Thursday will be a bit more refreshing, with highs in the mid-80s and lower humidity.
While the cooldown is welcome, one thing we may see the next two days is a little bit more smoke in our upper atmosphere. This cooler air is coming directly from Canada, and the northwest winds may send some Canadian wildfire smoke in our direction.
Another cold front this weekend looks like it will move through dry. It will bring us even cooler air early next week. No rain in the forecast, so the sprinklers and hoses will get some work.
