Heat relief is on the way, storms possible Monday
ST. LOUIS - The Heat Advisory continues through Monday. We’ll see some relief starting Tuesday, but the real cool-down begins on Wednesday.
Hot and humid again on Monday, with top afternoon temperatures soaring well into the upper 90s. Once again, pop-up showers and storms could produce a fast hit of heavy rain, wind, and lightning. Prime time for those storms will be between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
A cold front to our north will send some rain our way in the early morning hours of Tuesday. This rain will take the edge off the heat on Tuesday, with highs in the lower 90s, but it will still be humid.
Additional scattered rain and storms are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening as the front gets closer. That front doesn’t clear the area until early Wednesday, bringing cooler air to the region. Highs Wednesday in the upper 80s.
Another cold front this weekend is a good watcher. It could bring us even cooler air for next week.
