Harvest Fest, a fall favorite, returns to Julian Farm and Orchard
JULIAN, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Autumn is in full swing in San Diego’s backcountry as Harvest Fest makes its annual return to Julian Farm and Orchard. Open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 26, this beloved seasonal event offers everything from pumpkin picking and hayrides to apple cannons and fresh mountain air.
Whether you're after Instagram-worthy flower fields, hands-on family fun or a taste of seasonal flavors, this year's Harvest Fest promises a festive experience for all ages.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with general admission priced at $10 and free parking available. The Unlimited Activity Armband, priced at $30, gives guests access to the following attractions :
- Petting zoo
- Tractor-pulled hayride
- Rock wall climb
- Axe throwing (ages 13+ with closed-toed shoes)
- Bell ringer challenge
New this year: Apple Cannons – where kids and adults alike can launch apples at field targets in a uniquely Julian-style twist on autumn fun.




U-pick lovers are also in for a treat with several fresh-from-the-field options:
- Pumpkins: Priced by size, ranging from $3 minis to $30+ for giants. Look for unique varieties like Cinderella, Warty Goblin, and Blue Doll.
- Flowers: Fill a cup for $20 with vibrant seasonal blooms.
- Raspberries: Limited daily supply, priced per container on-site.

Little ones can also enjoy the farm's play zones, complete with sandboxes and John Deere trikes.
As far as fall flavors go, fuel up for fall adventures with food and drink from local vendors like:
- Julian Food Truck – serving up seasonal meals

- Farm Gift Shop – offering local apples, décor and autumn gifts
- Gabby’s Facepainting – available weekends, priced per design
