Halloween Spooktacular returns to The Forum Carlsbad

CARLSBAD, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- North County families can mark their calendars for an afternoon of frightfully fun festivities as The Forum Carlsbad brings back its beloved Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The outdoor shopping center will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland, offering center-wide trick-or-treating, live entertainment, carnival-style games, and interactive encounters with favorite spooky characters. The event is free and open to the public, making it an accessible way for families to celebrate the season.

Kids are encouraged to come dressed in costume and collect candy from participating retailers and restaurants throughout the center. Along the way, guests can meet characters like a mystical wizard, Sally and Jack Skellington, and the infamous Sanderson Sisters, who will be stirring up spells at their Haunted Cauldron—perfect for a spooky selfie.

“We love seeing The Forum Carlsbad filled with families in costume, music in the air, and kids discovering magical characters around every corner,” said Trish Pruitt, vice president of marketing for Northwood Retail, which manages the center. “The Halloween Spooktacular is about creating joyful experiences that bring our community together year after year.”

Adding to the fun, children will receive a complimentary Halloween tote bag to collect their treats (while supplies last, one per child). With festive music and interactive games designed for all ages, the Halloween Spooktacular is expected to once again draw hundreds of families from across the region.
