Gradually getting hotter this week, scattered rain Monday & Tuesday
ST. LOUIS - Despite our comfortable start, warmer and more humid conditions will gradually return to the St. Louis region this week.
Conditions don’t look as intense as in late July but will return to a more typical summer feel. Temperature highs will be in the low to mid 80s to start the week and will give way to the low 90s by the weekend.
We do have some rain to monitor early in the workweek. Monday and Tuesday afternoon will bring some scattered showers and thunderstorms to the St. Louis region, especially from along the Mississippi River east to Illinois. Some heavy downpours are possible, but any shower activities will fade as the sun goes down.
Areas of fog look likely to develop early Tuesday morning. That may impact the morning commute.
