G7 ambassadors confirm they continue working in Ukraine
The ambassadors of G7 countries – the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Canada, the United States, France and Japan – have confirmed that they continue their work in Ukraine amid Russian threats of strikes on Kyiv.

Details: G7 representatives met with international business associations in Ukraine on the morning of 28 May to discuss ways of improving the business and investment climate in the country.
"Despite Russian threats, all G7 countries are staying in Kyiv and will continue their work to support Ukraine!" the statement stressed.
Background:
- EU Ambassador to Kyiv Katarína Mathernová earlier confirmed that Western diplomats will not leave Kyiv despite new Russian threats of strikes on the Ukrainian capital.
- Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha is convinced that Russian threats of new strikes on Kyiv are aimed at intimidating Western diplomats.
- Following Russia's public threats against foreign diplomatic missions, a number of European capitals summoned Russian representatives to lodge protests.
- Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier refuted a statement made by EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas in Cyprus on 28 May, in which she claimed that the US Embassy was the only one to have left Ukraine following Russian threats.
- The US Embassy also denied having left Kyiv due to Russian threats.
