Foster father and child carjacked by friend: Police
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - Two teenagers have been charged for allegedly carjacking their friend and the child's foster dad over the weekend, according to records.
Terrell Harris Jr. and Marcus Hayes III, both 18 years old, have both been charged with vehicle hijacking and armed criminal action.
According to officials, a man was taking his foster child and Hayes, the child's friend, to meet with another one of their friends in Glasgow Village Saturday. Hayes had spent the night at the child's house the night prior.
Once they arrived to the destination, Hayes allegedly got out of the car and was handed a rifle by Harris Jr., who also had a rifle. Together, Hayes and Harris Jr. forced the man and foster child to exit the car before getting in and fleeing.
The St. Louis County Police Department was called to the armed carjacking, and they were able to find the stolen car 30 minutes later at a car wash in the 2800 block of North Florissant with Hayes and Terrell Jr. nearby.
Keys to the vehicle were located on Hayes and the victim identified the duo as the suspects.
Both the teens are being held on a $500,000 bond.
