SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Authorities on Wednesday issued a Feather Alert for a missing at-risk 17-year-old girl in Pala.

Sunnie Eagleton was last seen Saturday around 2 p.m. at Chavez Circle and Michac Lane within the Pala Indian Reservation in San Diego County, the California Highway Patrol posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, at 7:23 p.m.

"Sunnie ran away because she did not want to go back to Texas with her family, where they currently reside. On 08/06/25, Sunnie's mother reported Sunnie as a runaway juvenile," the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.

Eagleton, who is believed to be on foot, stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 130 pounds, according to law enforcement. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt and black shorts with a black and pink backpack.

Sunnie is considered at-risk because she has no history of running away, according to authorities.

CHP defines a Feather Alert as "a resource available to law enforcement agencies investigating the suspicious or unexplainable disappearance of an indigenous woman or indigenous person."

If anyone sees Eagleton, they are asked to call 911.
