Feast Magazine shut down day before final issue published

ST. LOUIS - One of St. Louis' food magazines was "killed" by its owner Thursday.

Feast Magazine Managing Editor Shannon Weber shared a series of Instagram stories Friday morning announcing the news that the 15-year-old publication was shut down by Lee Enterprises---which also owns St. Louis Post-Dispatch---and is effective immediately.

"We joke that I am basically the magazine, but that also means I go down with the ship," she shared. "I held it for as long as I could, and I was told that I kept it alive for longer than most people could have. And I believe that. Not because I'm amazing, but because I know what I was having to do. And I was happy to do it."

The news comes at the time when the October issue, which was its final issue, was published online. Just in December, Feast Magazine transitioned into an online exclusive publication.

FOX 2 reached out to Lee Enterprises' spokesperson and St. Louis-Dispatch Director of Public Relations Tracy Roach, who provided the following statement:

"Feast magazine will no longer produce an e-edition after the October 2025 issue or update feastmagazine.com. Local food and dining content, including reviews and features, will still be featured on STLtoday.com and in the Post-Dispatch print edition."
