FBI offers $15K reward in search for alleged southern Illinois gang member

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Springfield Field Office is asking for the public's assistance with information in the search for an alleged southern Illinois gang member.

The FBI is offering up to a $15,000 reward for information that lead to the arrest and conviction of Dontay R. Moore, Jr., according to a "wanted" announcement shared Friday by FBI Springfield.

According to the FBI, Moore is allegedly a local member and high-ranking enforcer of the Lundy Mob gang in Southern Illinois. The FBI says he is allegedly linked to violent assaults, weapons trafficking, and narcotics distribution.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Moore, Jr. on May 21, 2025, following a charge of unlawful possession of a machine gun from the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Illinois in East St. Louis.

Moore, 22, is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 140 pounds. He has multiple tattoos, including one of a broken arm in the front of his neck and tattoos on both his left and right forearms.

Moore should be considered "armed and dangerous," according to the FBI.
