Fashion meets fairways: Home Course opens in Solana Beach

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- “We didn’t want it to be your normal retail experience,” said Home Course Co-founder Grant Rayners. “We wanted you to walk in and feel like you walked into another world.”

Home Course is home cooking for golf fanatics. 

“We wanna be that spot that you are just dying to come back and hang out,” continued Rayners. “We aren’t trying to get you to buy something. We just want you to come in and feel like having a conversation. I want to talk about golf, sports, and fashion where you feel at home.“

Located in the heart of Solana Beach, this unique boutique blends fairways with fashion.

“San Diego is the heart of the golf industry and so it’s like, why would we not have a place that honors that,” continued Rayners. 

“A home for all these brands that developed in the last few years, who may only have an online presence,” he added. ”This creates a home for them, but also creates a home for the people who live in this community and just want a place to come down and hang out.“

Home Course doesn’t just offer rare golf gear -- you can also get a haircut. 

“That’s the heart of this operation,” said Rayners. “That’s where the community starts, in the chair getting your haircut. It’s also cool for the people walking in on the golf side, realizing it’s also a barbershop. It kind of sparks that interest, leading to more conversation and community.”

Home Course hosts its Grand Opening at 344 South Cedros Ave. in Solana Beach on Friday, Oct. 3, partnering with Adidas Originals to showcase their fall 2025 collection. 

Store hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
