Farmington 18-year-old facing child porn charges
ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. – State authorities arrested an 18-year-old from St. Francois County as part of an ongoing investigation into online child pornography.
According to Sgt. Bradley R. Germann, a Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesman, the highway patrol’s Special Victims Unit received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in June 2025, indicating an online user had recently uploaded child porn.
Germann said investigators eventually identified Kolt E. Cain as the person responsible.
On Aug. 15, state investigators went to Cain’s home with a search warrant. Authorities confiscated electronic devices that Cain used. Germann said Cain admitted using the devices to solicit and obtain child porn while on the internet. The devices contained multiple videos showing nude, prepubescent children.
The St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Cain with three counts of possession of child pornography and one count of promoting child pornography. Cain remains jailed on a $100,000 bond.
