Emergency power cuts introduced in parts of Ukraine due to Russian attacks

Emergency power cuts have been introduced in several regions of Ukraine to stabilise the power system.

Details: Previously published outage schedules in the regions where emergency power cuts have been applied are currently not in effect. Energy workers are working to restore power.

It has not been specified in which regions emergency power cuts have been introduced.

Updated: Ukrenergo later confirmed that emergency power cuts had begun in Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava oblasts.

Background: Emergency power cuts had already been introduced in several regions of Ukraine on 8 December.
