Dutch Bros to donate $1 for each drink sold to local youth

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Dutch Bros is giving customers an opportunity to give back to the community while satisfying their coffee cravings.

The Oregon-based coffee chain will donate a portion of its proceeds this Friday, Sept. 19 to support local youth organizations a part of its annual "Buck for Kids" initiative.

A dollar for every drink sold at its Chula Vista location will be donated to Make-A-Wish San Diego, according to the news release.

Nonprofit partners are selected by the local Dutch Bros operators and franchisees. Other Dutch Bros locations in San Diego County can be found in El Cajon, Escondido, Vista and Oceanside.

Dutch Bros started as a pushcart in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon in 1992 and has since expanded its footprint to various states, including Washington, California, Arizona and Colorado.
