Domino's unveils new logo and jingle featuring Shaboozey

(FOX 5/KUSI) — Domino's unveiled a major makeover this October, including the introduction of a jingle from a country star it hopes catches in customers' minds.

The chain's first refresh in 13 years features more vibrant colors and redesigned pizza boxes and employee uniforms, all with an emphasis on a key phrase contained in the company name.

"...We're baking craveability right into our name and every aspect of our brand as a reminder of this relentless focus," reads part of a statement from Kate Trumbull, the company's executive vice president and global chief marketing officer. "You literally can't say 'Domino's' without saying 'mmm.'"

That 'mmm' features prominently on pizza boxes, with the three letters in bright red in the middle of the company name in blue, as well as on employee shirts.

One of the biggest changes is the updated and simple design of the pizza boxes, which feature the iconic logo of the domino, with some pizzas featuring a black and gold look meant to mimic a more "premium" look, the company said.

For the first time in the company's 65-year history, it is introducing a jingle with the help of country singer Shaboozey.

A video launched as part of the announcement includes the singer saying the jingle, which consists of the company's name with a slight pause to emphasize the 'mmm' in the middle.

According to Domino's, the new look will roll out over the next few months to its thousands of locations in dozens of countries, along with TV and digital advertising.
