Doctors warn of heat illnesses as heatwave hits St. Louis
As the season’s first heatwave moves into the region, doctors with SSM Health warn that people are more vulnerable to heat-related illnesses because their bodies haven’t yet adjusted to the summer heat, which normally takes nearly 14 days to acclimate to.
