Custom drink chain 'Swig' opens first STL region location

ST. PETERS, Mo. - National soda shop Swig recently brought its newest store to St. Charles County.

The location at 587 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. celebrated its official grand opening over the weekend.

The chain customizes the classic soda with fruits, purees, and creams---such as "Princess Peach" which includes Dr. Pepper, coconut cream and peach or the "Happy Camper" that mixes root beer with toasted marshmallow and half and half.

Other options, like refreshers or energy drinks, are available. Small snacks include pink sugar cookies, pretzel bites and mini chocolate chip cookies.

"We’ve been blown away by the local support already," Lucas Miller, owner of Swig St. Peters, said in a release. "We can’t wait to meet our new customers and share what makes Swig so special."

While there are multiple locations in the Kansas City area, this grand opening will mark the first in the St. Louis region. The company noted that there are several more locations planned for the area.
