Coolest days may be behind us, but the dry, quiet weather rolls on
ST. LOUIS - Three consecutive days of highs in the 70s in August provide relief from the heat. We will be just a bit warmer the rest of the week, but no major warm-up is in sight.
Let’s watch for some fog in the river and larger creek valleys again Wednesday morning as we wake up in the 40s and low 50s. Wednesday will start sunny but bring increasing clouds into the afternoon. Temperature highs will be near 80 F.
Those clouds are courtesy of rain to our southwest, but that rain will just miss the St. Louis region overnight. Mostly cloudy overnight, we’ll wake up around 60 F. Lingering clouds, especially south of I-70 Thursday morning, with clearing through the day. High temperatures are expected to be in the low 80s.
The forecast stays dry throughout the week and the holiday weekend. Both highs and lows remained eight to ten degrees below average right through Labor Day weekend.
