According to the Carlsbad Police Department, 65-year-old Yvonne Tran was arrested on Oct. 1 in connection with a series of retail thefts that targeted the Under Armour outlet in Carlsbad.
The investigation began in May 2025, when detectives teamed up with Under Armour’s loss prevention team to track down the source of repeated inventory losses. Authorities say Tran was linked to more than 40 separate thefts from the same location.
Following her arrest, police served a search warrant at Tran’s residence, where they discovered a massive haul of stolen goods — roughly $100,000 worth of Under Armour merchandise.
Tran has since been booked on 10 felony counts of grand theft, and investigators say the case may expand further. The investigation remains ongoing.
