Body recovery effort continues in Wabash Lake in Ferguson
FFERGUSON, Mo. - Search and recovery efforts continued late Wednesday morning after a body was spotted in January-Wabash Lake in Ferguson the night before.
According to the Ferguson Police Department, someone reported a person in the water around 9 p.m. Tuesday. The lake and adjacent park are located at the corner of North Florissant Road and January Avenue.
After initially attempting to pull the body out of the water around 1 a.m., authorities suspended the search until 10 a.m. due to darkness and other difficulties locating and removing the body from the water.
January-Wabash Park remains closed until further notice until the body can be removed.
