At-risk missing teen found safe; Feather Alert lifted
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- An at-risk 17-year-old girl who went missing in Pala has been found safe, authorities said Thursday.
Sunnie Eagleton was last seen Saturday around 2 p.m. at Chavez Circle and Michac Lane within the Pala Indian Reservation in San Diego County, the California Highway Patrol posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, at 7:23 p.m.
A Feather Alert was issued for Eagleton on Wednesday.
Eagleton was considered at-risk because she had no history of running away, according to authorities.
CHP defines a Feather Alert as "a resource available to law enforcement agencies investigating the suspicious or unexplainable disappearance of an indigenous woman or indigenous person."
