Anheuser-Busch invests $15 million in St. Louis brewery
ST. LOUIS - Anheuser-Busch announced a $15 million investment in its St. Louis Brewery as a part of a $300 million commitment to U.S. manufacturing jobs on Aug. 19.
According to a press-release from Anheuser-Busch, the investment will improve supply chain infrastructure, allowing for the transportation of more American-grown ingredients to the brewery to help expand the distribution of its beers.
Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch, said, "Our latest investment in St. Louis is about more than just creating the highest-quality American-made products – it’s also about creating opportunity, driving innovation and building a stronger future for American workers, veterans and the entire U.S. manufacturing industry."
Anheuser-Busch is also opening its Technical Excellence Center in St. Louis to local trade schools, in partnership with the National Association of Manufacturers’ Manufacturing Institute.
The company is also expanding career opportunities for veterans by adopting a system that translates military experience into skills needed for manufacturing careers.
Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe praised Anheuser-Busch’s investment, highlighting its role in supporting local jobs.
Anheuser-Busch says that they have also been making additional investments such as updates to their breweries in Baldwinsville, NY; Houston, TX; Columbus, OH; Ft. Collins, CO; and Williamsburg, VA.
