A wet stretch Tuesday and Wednesday, pockets of heavy rain possible
ST. LOUIS - We have some fog around Tuesday morning, especially in Illinois and over the rivers. Slow down and give space if you drive into these low visibility areas.
Another round of widespread rain and storms is expected Tuesday. After a dry start, rain will build in from the west by the afternoon. There is a chance for some heavy pockets of rain and some isolated stronger storms that could produce some hail and high winds.
Highs are expected to be in the upper 70s to around 80 in metro St. Louis Tuesday. Rain and storms will continue to move through the evening and overnight, with temperatures dropping into the 60s. Lots of clouds and more scattered rain for Wednesday afternoon and evening, with highs in the 70s.
As our low pressure center spins away on Thursday, some isolated showers will hang around, with highs in the 70s. Sunshine returns on Friday, high near 80 F. The weekend looks dry and warmer, with highs back into the low to mid 80s.
